Jo’s Trust

Jo’s Trust, a charity set up in memory of a Dollar FP, supports an annual medical careers evening hosted at Dollar Academy.

On Tuesday 10 March, pupils from across Scotland attended Dollar Academy for the eighth annual medical careers evening hosted by charity Jo’s Trust, in memory of FP Joanna Morgan, who sadly died of brain cancer.

The Gibson Auditorium was full with pupils and parents and as ever an excellent range of speakers had been lined up, including a fifth-year medical student, a junior doctor from Edinburgh Royal Infirmary and a Theatre Nurse from Glasgow Royal Infirmary.

The aim of the evening was to make young people aware of the range of career opportunities available to them within the field of medicine.

It also provided pupils with practical advice about the application process for medical school and the realities of both student and professional life.

Presentations can be downloaded below.

Thank you to everyone who attended this event.
