Jo’s Trust

Jo's Trust, a charity set up in memory of a Dollar FP, supports an annual medical careers evening hosted at Dollar Academy.

Jo’s Trust is a charity set up in memory of a Dollar FP, Joanna Morgan, who sadly died of brain cancer.

The charity supports an annual medical careers evening hosted at Dollar Academy. This year’s event was well attended by pupils from all over central Scotland.

As ever an excellent range of speakers had been lined up, including a 3rd year medical student, a junior doctor from Edinburgh Royal Infirmary and the Admissions tutor of St Andrews University.

The aim of the evening was to make young people aware of the range of career opportunities available to them within the field of medicine.

It also provided pupils with insights and practical advice about the application process for medical school and the realities of both student and professional life.
