Currently working as a Junior Doctor, Vijaytha Muralidharan (FP 2010) saw the impact of Covid-19 first hand, and felt that the key to staying positive was to remain connected, happy and uplifted. She therefore wrote Oh! What a Lovely Lockdown! with the intention of inspiring young minds.
The story follows twins Leo and Lily, who are disappointed when they miss out on their birthday party because of the pandemic. They then, however, become inspired by their parents to discover fun, joy and creativity at home. It is Vijaytha’s intention that young readers will be able to connect with Leo and Lily and as a result become more creative and positive whilst trying to navigate this challenging time.
Profits from Oh! What a Lovely Lockdown! will be donated to WellChild, the national charity for sick children.
Dollar plans on purchasing some copies of the book so that it can be read to Prep School pupils next session. Dollar also wishes Vijaytha all the best in her career as a Doctor as well as the publication of this story.
