In the Primary Level 1 competition, Jessica (Junior 2), along with Anna and Annabelle (both Prep 5) won individual gold, silver and bronze respectively. Jessica was particularly delighted to win gold as it was her birthday! The girls, along with Arabella (Prep 5) won team gold, whilst Oliver, Abbey, Lucy and Finlay (all Prep 5) won team silver. Both of our Primary teams will now go through to compete at the National Finals, which will be held at the Bells Sports Centre in Perth, on 29 February.
The Primary Level 2 team of Marcie, Sophie, Anna and Maya (all Prep 5) gained team gold, and will also qualify for the National Finals. Marcie, Sophie and Anna were delighted to win individual gold, silver and bronze medals.
The Primary Level 3 competition was highly competitive – the top placings were separated by as little as 0.1 point. Elizabeth (Prep 5) performed with real grace and poise and won individual gold, with Lucy (Junior 2) close behind, winning silver. Robyn (Junior 2) performed particularly well in the vault and won individual bronze. Our Primary Level 3 team, involving Elizabeth, Lucy, Robyn and Mhairi (Prep 5) won team gold and have also qualified for the National Finals.
Laurie and India (both Form I) performed well in the Secondary Level 1 competition to gain individual gold and silver. The Secondary Level 2 team of Victoria, Michael and Christina (all Form II) achieved team gold. Victoria performed particularly well and won individual gold, closely followed by Michael and Christina, who won 2nd and 3rd respectively. In the Secondary Level 3 competition, Ferne (Form III) and Emily (Form II) scored high scores in their vaults and won gold and silver placings overall. The team of Ferne, Emily and Clara (Form II) will represent Clackmannanshire at the National Finals next year.
