Mr Munro is the current Rector at Kelvinside Academy in Glasgow, having previously taught at George Heriot’s, Gordonstoun and Shiplake College in Oxfordshire where he was Deputy Headmaster.
Mr Munro stated, “I consider it a wonderful privilege to be appointed as the 14th Rector of Dollar Academy, and I look forward to learning more about every aspect of the School.
“Throughout the interview process, I was struck not only by the incredible strength and diversity of the academic and co-curricular offering, but also by the warm Dollar welcome. I was fortunate to spend time with some terrific people at all levels of the organisation, from the youngest pupils in the Prep School to the Chair of the Board of Governors, and my wife and I look forward to working with the entire Dollar Academy community in the years ahead.”
Mr Munro will start at Dollar in July 2019. The whole school looks forward to welcoming him and his wife to the community.
