On 27 February, the series qualifies took place and both teams, the A Team and the Senior Team, performed really well and secured places in the final. The A Team of Christina, Adam and Ian (Form I), along with Freddie and Lauren (both Form III) placed 1st. Special congratulations go to Christina and Freddie, who both finished 1st in their respective age categories and were awarded with gold medals. Well done to Lauren who placed 2nd, and was awarded a silver medal. The Senior Team of Nina (Form II), Archie K, Imogen (both Form IV), Archie M and Emma (Form V) finished 3rd and picked up bronze medals. Imogen also picked up a silver medal for her individual time in the S4-6 female category. As these successes meant that both teams qualified for the final, the pupils returned to Glenshee the following week.
The final took place on 5 March and was more difficult than the qualifiers. Pupils were up against all other qualifying Scottish schools, so the competition was tough. Both teams once again performed well on the day and the Senior Team placed 3rd in Scotland overall. Imogen in particular had a fantastic result and was awarded a silver medal for her age category. The best result of the day was Freddie winning individual gold and being crowned the Alpine Champion! Well done to all the pupils who contributed to a very successful week of skiing.
