The 31 October and 1 November were a successful couple of days for Dollar Academy’s Prep, Junior and Senior Ski teams by bringing home success in the Scottish Schools Snowsports Association (SSSA) Autumn Dual Slalom Series finals, held at Snow Factor.
Prep and Junior teams competed on 31 October, where a total of seventeen other teams from across Scotland achieved a place in the event, leading to an afternoon of high quality racing. All eight racers from Dollar Academy showed excellent skill and were ambassadors for the school, taking time to shake hands with their competitors at the end of the races.
2018 brought the best result at this competition to date as the B Team took home silver, and the A team triumphing in the final race to win gold, and brought home the cup for the third year in the row!Following on to 1 November, the Senior school had a hard act to follow after the Prep and Junior teams wins.
Dollar Academy saw success again, however, as twelve racers in three different teams competed in the finals, after convincing wins at the Fir Park Qualifiers, and with the A team gaining a silver medal, with some fantastic timing.
