Dollar Academy CCF Win National Competition For Third Year In A Row

Team victorious at military skills competition following three days of gruelling challenges

The Dollar Academy CCF competed in the 51st Infantry Brigade Military Skills Competition at Barry Buddon from 14-16 September 2018.

The competition is run by the Regular Army over three days in a fieldcraft environment; the team is tested over a series of gruelling challenges, ranging from obstacle courses to speed marching and Section battle drills.

Dollar’s CCF won the Scottish CCF competition for the 9th time in the last 15 years. This is also third year in a row that Dollar Academy CCF retained this title and only the second time that such a long run of victories has ever been achieved; the first time was when Dollar Academy won the competition over the years 2005-2007!

This marks the end of another successful weekend for the Contingent and Capt MP Scott said, ‘The cadets were a credit to themselves and the school and once again set a standard which all others strive to achieve.’
