CCF Easter Camp Success

From 28 March until 2 April, 70 of Dollar’s cadets attended the CCF Easter Camp for an exciting outward-bound activities week.

The cadets were based at Drumshoreland House, near Broxburn. They took part in specific training exercises, including midnight canoeing at Lochore Meadows and a bushcraft camping expedition, as well as more general field activities to improve their skills.

Some of our cadets completed award level tasks, such as the Castlelaw Range Complex, where 30 Dollar pupils were awarded with Army Proficiency Certificate Classifications for Full Bore Shooting. 10 pupils completed Cadet Forces Instructional Technique Cadre and 8 Royal Yachting Association Level One Awards were presented to cadets who successfully completed Dingy Sailing at Port Edgar.

Alongside all of the hard work, there was plenty of time to enjoy fun group activities including paintballing, Extreme Laser Quest and a visit to a trampoline park.

Well done to all of the cadets who were involved in this year’s Easter Camp.
