Tennis

Running from mid-April to the end of June, the Tennis season at Dollar is another reason for pupils to look forward to the summer months. During the winter months, some pupils train at the indoor facilities at Gleneagles and benefit from specialist coaching from the team there

With no less than 12 courts of astroturf (which double as hockey pitches throughout the rest of the year) and an extra three on the harder surface near the Prep School, our campus is a great place to train competitively or simply to play for fun.
An aspirational atmosphere surrounds our tennis offering, and it’s one that pupils of every age group are exposed to as part of their Physical Education curriculum. For those who are keen, there’s our tennis club with after-school training and lunchtime practices and, of course, the chance to represent the school in competitive matches. All abilities are welcome to join our tennis club, from beginners all the way through to the large number of pupils who play at regional and national level.
Along with excellent facilities, we also provide top-class coaching to help our pupils get the very most from the sport. Along with indoor winter sessions at Gleneagles delivered by excellent regional coaches, pupils are given the opportunity to learn from visiting coaches such as Scottish Tennis Coach Judy Murray, Scotland Performance Coach Adam Brown, and many others.
